George Washington
Standing up for what's right, even in the face of adversity.
Putting other's needs before one's own, often sacrificing personal interests.
Overcoming obstacles and challenges to achieve a goal.
Motivating others through their actions, words, or achievements.
Purple Heart Day is observed annually on August 7th to honor and remember the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have been wounded or killed in action. It's a day to recognize the sacrifices made by Purple Heart recipients and to show support for wounded veterans.
